Cinnamon Rolls...YUM!

So Monday night I was looking around at recipes on "Our Best Bites" blog and they all looked so yummy, the recipe for quick cinnamon rolls looked especially delicious! Especially since I've never been able to make good cinnamon rolls (of course I've only tried once, but hey). So I was pretty excited when these turned out so YUMMY and were so easy! Click HERE for the awesome recipe!
I poured the frosting on as soon as I pulled it out of the oven and we dug in! I had planned on taking a picture before we ate to show how yummy and delish they look, but we dished them out and enjoyed the yummy gooey goodness! I will definitely be trying more of their recipes!

Chicken, Chicken and more Chicken!

Saturday I picked up 80 pounds of Chicken that my sister, mom and I had ordered. I was able to get 50 pounds of it canned Saturday (I finished at 11:30 at night) and then we froze 30 pounds! It was SO great! I'm so glad we bought it, in fact, we should have bought 40 more pounds! But we'll do that next time :) Reason being, that once the chicken was split 3 ways it wasn't as much, but it was still a great start towards food storage! I ended up canning 30 pints and 12 quarts! My mom helped me cut up all the meat, which made it go a lot faster. Hopefully this will get my mom more interested in canning! She saw that it wasn't as hard as she thought it was :)
Chicken always looks so gross canned, but it tastes great in casseroles and soups!

15 hours later and...

We now have 35 quarts of canned Black Beans! Was definitely a learning experience! I had a 25 pound bag of black beans, spent an hour or so sorting through them Wednesday afternoon. They fit into 2 big pots, so then I added the water to soak them over night and I ended up with 5 big pots of black beans! Yipes! Did not realize how much beans expand!!! It was great to finally get them canned though :)

There were 2 jars that didn't seal so they are in the fridge!

More canning to come, this next week all I'll be doing is canning! I'm picking up 80 lbs of chicken tomorrow morning (50-60 of which I'll can), then Tuesday I'm picking up a bucket of red raspberry puree and a box of blueberries...yum!
I'll be sure to post pics! If anyone has a great recipe for Raspberry freezer jam please share :)

Clover Cookies :)

Sunday morning Brycen and I had fun making cookies together! It's with my favorite Sugar Cookie recipe! So I thought I'd share! They are so easy!

Sugar Cookies:

1 cup butter or margarine

1 tsp Vanilla

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

(mix together)

4 cups flour

1\2 tsp. Baking soda

(mix together)

~Chill Dough and refrigerate about 10 minutes

~Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes

You can plop them on the pan, or you can roll them out on some flour and use cookie cutters to get your desired design :)

The frosting was simple too! I melted a cube of margarine, added some food coloring, about 1/4 cup of milk and 2 tsp. vanilla, then added powdered sugar till it was the desired thickness.

**Brycen had fun putting the sprinkles on :)

Summer Wreath - at least that's what my hubby says!

My hubby calls it a summer wreath! I love the look of the burlap! I've never made anything with burlap before so this was REALLY fun to make! I wish I'd have more flowers to put on it, but it's all good, it still looks cute :)
Up close of the flowers and burlap!
I bought the wreath at the dollar store, bought a yard of green burlap at JoAnn's for 3$, and the flowers at JoAnns for 97 cents, they were clearanced. So total cost was about 5$. I think it turned out pretty fun! It's just fun to experiment with new things! I wrapped the whole wreath in strips of green burlap(I hot glued it on), then I cut the rest of the burlap into squares, folded the squares into 4 and snipped the tips, then hot glued it onto the wreath. I'll show pictures of how I did it later. I found the tutorial on another blog but I can't remember which one it was, they made it back in January in red for Valentines day. I saw it and loved it! So I'm hoping I can find that tutorial! Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

I am SO excited! I get to go to....

I am SO excited! It'll be so much fun! My sister and I are going together and we get to meet a bunch of other fun craft bloggers! I was seriously jumping up and down Sunday night, late, when I bought my ticket. My mom and husband told me to go to bed because I was so peppy! But seriously, it'll be awesome and I so hope they have more stuff like this in AZ so that I can go with more friends next time! Happy Tuesday everyone!

So excited!!!!

I am SO excited! One of my favorite blogs had this SUPER cute giveaway this past week and I won! How awesome is that! The awesome blog is Oopsey Daisy, I love her posts! This is the awesome thing that I won:

Isn't it so cute! It's to hang earrings in! I can't wait to get it! I"ll definitely post a pic once I get it!
On another note, I"m in the process of making a fun spring wreath that I promise to share by Tuesday! We are in the process of buying a house and a lot of my craft stuff and fabric is in bins and I have no idea what's in which bin, so I"m waiting till we move before I organize it all! So bear with me the next 2 months while I'm in limbo, I am going to really try hard to post every two or three days though between now and then! But once we get our house I will have SO many fun things to post! I can NOT wait!!!! It'll be so fun! Anyways, I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Have a Happy Monday tomorrow!

Much Needed Pants :)

Brycen is growing up so fast! So he was in need of some Lounge Pants (okay, pretty much PJ pants)! So while I was picking out the pillowcase fabric I picked up a yard in a half of some puppy paw fabric so that I could make my boys some cute little pants for around the house! So yesterday I got them sewed up! Here are Brycen's (ignore the fact that his shirt doesn't match) -

The spazz refused to stand still :)

*Oh, and on a side note, the Pillowcases I made earlier this week are actually going to be saved for Christmas. I'm trying to do one thing a month for Christmas so then come December I wont have a bunch of gifts to buy! I'll actually be able to enjoy it! I bought a bunch of stuff in January for the boys when all the Christmas toys were clearanced at Target - Last year they also clearanced a bunch of toys at the end of July, so keep a look out for some great gift ideas!

Pillowcases :)

It's been a long time since I've made anything - okay, like a month, but that's a long time for me! I was able to go to JoAnn's on monday and pick up some of their quilter fabric that is 50% off this week! I found some really cute prints! Here are some pillowcases I was able to make with them!

This one is my favorite:
