Progress :)

So our house closed last week (YIPEE!).... and we went straight to work!

I love our back yard! It's perfect for the boys. There's even an extended patio that Brycen and Cooper can ride their bikes/toys on. All the bushes around the yard though are dead and thorny, so I'll be pulling those out next week!
This is up and to the right of the above picture. It's the perfect size swing set/slide for the boys!!! Their favorite part is the slide :)
Here is a before of our family room:
now an after, it's not done yet, my husband (with the help of my dad) tore out the entertainment unit and wood laminate (I know, I'm probably one of the few people that would rather have carpet than wood). Then my dad re-textured the wall. We are hoping to have all of the painting done by Saturday because we are having carpet put in on Monday! Can't wait!!! I'll post a pic once it's completely done :)
Our kitchen before...
I took this pic yesterday morning, it is actually done now, yipee! So i'll post a pic of it soon! The happy news is that we found a fridge yesterday to put in the kitchen! So excited! The picture doesn't do the color justice, but it looks fantastic! I'll post another pic tomorrow of it done :)

So just wanted to post a few pics showing that I haven't dropped off the face of the planet. Just busily getting our house done in time to move in next week! We are painting everything except our room (we'll do that this summer).

  1. Congrats! I'd heard that you closed on your house. I can't wait to come see it in person!

  2. I think I actually shed a tear about the wood flooring. ARE YOU CRAZY?!?

Also, I love the back yard.

  3. I had no Idea you ripped out the WOOD floor!! your crazy cassie!!! carpet is a disaster with kids!! you could have saved a bundle and gotten a large piece of carpet and had it bound and kept the beautimous wood!! but i suppose its a little to late... oh well your house is looking great any how!

  4. It looks great. So happy for you guys!

  5. love your kitchen, and love the color you picked for it. Wish you would change your mind on the flooring, I love wood floors and they are so much easier to maintain. You are going to build so many happy memories in this house, congratulations!
